When the reasons and obstacles can both be leveraged…

A polarity is made by two things that seem like opposites but are actually both important. Like breathing in and breathing out — these are polarities because we need both to stay alive, and they seem opposite from one another. Another polarity: getting rest and being active — too much rest and you have health issues; too much activity and you risk injury, etc. Rest and activity are both needed for health and wellness, even though they are seeming opposites.

How can you leverage the polarity you identified between your one big reason for getting back in (or staying in) and your one big obstacle?

For example, if independence later in life is the reason to get into fitness and the obstacle is present-day obligations to family and career, then how can these be balanced? If the two were better balanced, what would look different in your life? What new systems, structures, and/or ways of being would you need to cultivate?

Spend time here reflecting and developing your strategies. You know your life and your body better than anyone, and you are the one most capable of figuring out what would help you move forward.
